Croatian football star Ivan Perišić is reportedly on the verge of a sensational return to Inter Milan, the club where he spent seven successful years. Insider reports from Nicolo Schira suggest that the veteran winger has been offered to the Italian giants, potentially reviving a transfer saga that began in January.

During the winter transfer window, Inter faced challenges on the right flank due to injuries to key players. A move for Perišić at that time was reportedly thwarted because his then-club, PSV Eindhoven, was unwilling to part with a crucial player mid-season. Perišić himself hinted at the possibility of a return, stating in January, "I was very close to returning, but PSV didn't let me. A return? That depends on the president and the sporting director. Now, Inter has another opportunity to bring the experienced player back into their fold. Perišić's current contract with PSV extends until June 2027. This contractual situation could mean that Inter might only need to pay a nominal transfer fee to secure his services. During his previous tenure with Inter, Perišić made 254 appearances, scoring 55 goals and providing 50 assists, solidifying his status as a club legend.

Perišić also had a loan spell at Bayern Munich during his time with Inter. For PSV, he has recorded 26 goals and 27 assists in 79 official matches.
