Perlis PN government to be maintained until end of term

The Perikatan Nasional (PN) state government in Perlis will continue to govern until the end of its term, regardless of developments in the relationship between PAS and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu). Menteri Besar Abu Bakar Hamzah affirmed that the coalition's mandate comes from the people through the 15th General Election (GE15) under the PN banner, not as individual parties.

Abu Bakar emphasized that the coalition's stability is paramount and that the current government structure will be maintained. He stated that the decision to continue governing until the term's end is in line with the decree issued by the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail.

This assertion comes amidst speculation and potential shifts in political alliances within Malaysia. However, the Perlis leadership is signaling a commitment to serving the full term, underscoring the legitimacy derived from the GE15 results under the PN coalition's name.
