Pero Galić on the new Opća opasnost: 'Without Žiža, it's not the same band'

The Croatian band Opća opasnost is forging ahead with a new lineup and a new singer, Zoran Mišić, following the death of its founder, Slaven Živanović Žiža.

Former frontman Pero Galić, who left the band along with keyboardist Branimir Jovanovac Bani, expressed his reservations about the band continuing under the same name without Žiža. "For me, the band under this name, without Žiža, is not and cannot be the same Opća opasnost," Galić told 24sata. He added, "But let the guys do their thing."

Galić is currently focused on his solo career, working on a new album with collaborator Mario Vestić. He recently released the single 'Jedina' and plans to have the album out this fall. He also continues to perform Opća opasnost songs, which he believes are rightfully his. The band's name itself has been a point of contention, with Galić previously hinting at legal issues preventing its use by a new iteration without Žiža's involvement.
