Persib Bandung Signs Indonesian National Team Forward Ragnar Oratmangoen

Indonesian football club Persib Bandung has bolstered its squad for the 2026/2027 season by officially announcing the signing of Indonesian national team forward Ragnar Oratmangoen. The 28-year-old attacker has committed to a three-year contract, running until 2029, making him the second Indonesian national team player to join the club this transfer window, following Sandy Walsh. Adhitia Putra Herawan, Deputy CEO of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat, stated that Oratmangoen's recruitment is a strategic move to enhance squad depth, particularly in the attacking third. Herawan highlighted Oratmangoen's versatility, noting his ability to play across various positions from wing to attacking midfield. "We welcome Ragnar as part of the big Persib family," Herawan said on Saturday, July 4, 2026. "His experience, quality, and character are expected to further strengthen the team in facing various challenges in the upcoming season." Oratmangoen previously played for Belgian club F.C.V. Dender E.H. and has a history with several Dutch clubs, including NEC Nijmegen and SC Cambuur, where he scored 12 goals in 47 appearances. Persib also announced the signing of Japanese midfielder Gakuto Notsuda, who signed a one-year contract. Notsuda, 32, brings experience from clubs like Sanfrecce Hiroshima and BG Pathum United. The club hopes both new signings will contribute significantly to their domestic and Asian competition goals.
