Person, daughter and former wife arrested in Tiflet with 3,260 drug pills

Police in Tiflet arrested four people, including two women, in a suspected drug-trafficking case after receiving information from Morocco's General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance.

The operation took place on Saturday, Sept. 5, in a rural area outside Tiflet. Officers allegedly caught a man, his daughter and his former wife carrying and attempting to transport 3,260 prescription drug pills in a private car. They also found money suspected of coming from the criminal activity.

Investigators identified a fourth person suspected of involvement and arrested that person near Khémisset. The suspects were placed under judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, which is examining the circumstances of the case and any possible wider extensions of the activity.
