Peru opens registration for 2026-II Serums program based on surname

The Peruvian Ministry of Health (Minsa) has launched its call for the 2026-II Rural and Urban Marginal Health Service (Serums) program, offering opportunities for health science professionals to serve in rural and underserved areas. The registration process, which began on Thursday, July 16, is being conducted entirely online and will continue until July 23. Minsa has organized the application timeline based on the initial letter of each applicant's paternal surname to streamline the process and manage the virtual platform's load.

Professionals whose surnames begin with letters A through F were the first to register. Minsa strongly advises all interested candidates to consult the official calendar to avoid any issues and ensure they complete their registration within their designated timeframe. The ministry emphasizes that adhering to this schedule is crucial for the smooth execution of the application process and to prevent overloading the online system.

The Serums 2026-II program is open to a wide range of medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, obstetricians, dentists, pharmacists, nutritionists, psychologists, social workers, biologists, veterinarians, and sanitary engineers. Technologists in various specializations, such as clinical laboratory, radiology, physical therapy, optometry, speech therapy, and occupational therapy, are also eligible. The comprehensive evaluation exam for all participants is scheduled to take place in person on Sunday, August 9, 2026. Applicants are required to register on the Minsa-provided platform and thoroughly review all published documents, including the evaluation guide, registration instructions, and the manual for filling out the optical form used during the test.
