Peru presents the slogan for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games: 'Together we shine brighter'

Peru has unveiled the official brand for the XX Pan American Games Lima 2027, billed as the continent's largest sporting event. The games, scheduled from July 23 to August 29 next year in the Peruvian capital, will be held under the slogan 'Juntos brillamos más' (Together we shine brighter).

The Organizing Committee for the XX Pan American Games and VIII Parapan American Games Lima 2027 presented the official emblem, an insignia designed to embody the essence of the Peruvian capital and project to the world the spirit of a city preparing to write a new chapter in sporting history. This branding aims to capture the spirit of a welcoming, vibrant Lima, with a logo inspired by fluid, free-flowing lines representing a city that embraces, inspires, and leaves its mark.

The visual identity integrates colors reflecting Lima: the light blue of the sea and sky, the green of its cliffs and natural spaces, the metallic gray of a modern, growing city, the orange of its captivating sunsets, and the purple connecting with the nation's tradition, history, and identity. A sun, nestled in the Pacific Ocean waters off the coast of South America's only capital city on the coast, crowns the design, symbolizing the central concept of the sporting event.

Neven Ilic, president of Panam Sports, stated that the new identity for Lima 2027 represents the joy, energy, and essence of Peru and its people. "We are a little over 400 days away from our Games beginning, and I have no doubt that it will be a great sporting festival that will unite us again as a continent. Because, as its slogan says, Together we shine brighter," Ilic affirmed.

The XX Pan American Games Lima 2027 will commence with an opening ceremony at the National Stadium on July 23 next year, spanning 16 days of competition across various venues in the capital. The program includes 38 sports, many of which will serve as qualifiers for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. The VIII Parapan American Games will host over 1,000 para-athletes from 34 countries, competing in 17 sports and 18 disciplines from August 20 to 29, 2027.
