Peruvian University Earns Rare International Accreditation

Universidad Continental has achieved a significant international milestone, becoming the first higher education institution in Peru to earn the SOFÍA Seal. This accreditation, granted by Spain's Fundación para el Conocimiento madri+d, signifies adherence to rigorous European quality standards in academics, management, and research.

The SOFÍA Seal is based on the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG), recognized globally for their demanding evaluation criteria. Unlike other accreditations that focus on specific programs, this seal assesses the university's overall institutional performance. The evaluation encompassed internal quality assurance systems, institutional resources, knowledge production, community engagement, and continuous improvement policies.

This recognition, covering all seven of Universidad Continental's campuses, underscores the institution's strategic focus on strengthening its academic offerings with an international outlook. It validates the university's comprehensive operations and its capacity to meet contemporary higher education demands, positioning it among a select group of institutions in Latin America with such a distinction.
