Petralon Energy appoints Augustine Ekeigwe as Chief Operating Officer

Petralon Energy has announced the appointment of Augustine Ekeigwe as its new Chief Operating Officer, signaling a strategic move to bolster its operational leadership as the company enters a more intensive production phase. This appointment comes as Petralon aims to increase output at its Dawes Island Field and pursue additional asset acquisitions.

Earlier this year, Petralon successfully increased production at the Dawes Island Field to approximately 4,800 barrels of oil per day (bopd) following the startup of its second producing well, DI-3. The field has already exported over 350,000 barrels of oil through the Bonny Oil and Gas Terminal, located about 30 km away. These achievements mark a significant transition for the company from the development stage to sustained production, a shift that requires experienced leadership at the highest operational level.

Petralon Energy described Ekeigwe's appointment as both timely and strategic, emphasizing his role in overseeing operational execution across the company's asset portfolio.
