PFIPC: Police arrest Adeyemi’s father amid ongoing forgery probe

Police operatives reportedly arrested the father of Prince Adeyemi Adeniyi in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria, on Monday. Prince Adeyemi Adeniyi is currently facing criminal charges related to alleged forgery and impersonation in connection with claims linked to the purported Presidential Fiscal and Infrastructure Projects Council.

According to residents who spoke to journalists, the arrest took place at the family's residence. Officers reportedly arrived in multiple vehicles and took Adeniyi's father and another man, who was visiting the home, into custody. Witnesses observed that the operation drew the attention of local residents and caused anxiety within the household, particularly for the suspect's elderly mother.

A resident, who requested anonymity, alleged that the officers secured the premises quickly and departed with the two men. A security presence remained in the area for some time after the operation concluded. As of the time of this report, the Oyo State Police Command had not released an official statement confirming or explaining the alleged arrests.
