Phil Foden Signs New Four-Year Contract with Manchester City

Phil Foden has committed his future to Manchester City, signing a new four-year contract that will keep the homegrown talent at the club until 2030. The 26-year-old midfielder, whose previous deal was set to expire next summer, has opted to extend his stay under new head coach Enzo Maresca.

While Foden's recent seasons have seen a shift in his role and a dip in goal contributions compared to his career-high performance after the Treble, his commitment signifies his importance to the club's future. Last season, he scored seven goals and provided five assists in 33 Premier League games. His inclusion in the new contract comes after he was notably omitted from Thomas Tuchel's England World Cup squad in May, a decision attributed by some to an inconsistent season.
