Philharmonix returns to Dubrovnik Summer Festival with extra tickets released

The acclaimed Philharmonix ensemble, a collective of musicians from the prestigious Vienna and Berlin Philharmonic orchestras, is set to captivate audiences once again at the 77th Dubrovnik Summer Festival. The concert, scheduled for Thursday, August 13th, will take place in the stunning atrium of the Rector's Palace. This marks a return for the ensemble after their successful performance last year, which deeply resonated with the Dubrovnik audience.

Last summer, they won over the festival audience with a unique blend of top-notch performance, humor, and infectious energy. Due to exceptional interest, an additional 100 standing tickets have been released for the concert.

Comprised of Noah Bendix-Balgley and Sebastian Gürtler on violin, Thilo Fechner on viola, Stephan Koncz on cello, Ödön Rácz on double bass, Daniel Ottensamer on clarinet, and Christoph Traxler on piano, Philharmonix is celebrated for their exceptional musicality, spontaneity, and creative energy. Their previous performance in Dubrovnik was met with such overwhelming enthusiasm that an additional 100 standing tickets have been made available to meet the high demand.

The program for this year's festival is inspired by the serene beauty of the north. Philharmonix will perform Edvard Grieg's "Romance," original compositions by ensemble members Sebastian Gürtler ("Midsummer Night's Hymn" and "Harvest Polka from Latgale"), and a rendition of the music from the film "Titanic" arranged by Stephan Koncz. The ensemble's signature style, characterized by brilliant arrangements, unparalleled virtuosity, and an infectious joy in playing together, promises an unforgettable musical experience.
