Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has embarked on a vacation, taking a break after a demanding period of over 30 days dedicated to commissioning, flagging off, and inspecting projects across Abuja.

The minister's Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications, Lere Olayinka, announced Wike's holiday on social media. Olayinka noted that Wike spent the past month reviewing numerous projects, particularly those scheduled for completion in December and January. The vacation marks a period of rest following this intensive official engagement.

Since his appointment in August 2023, Wike has prioritized infrastructure development within the FCT. His focus areas include road construction, rehabilitation of existing infrastructure, expansion of public facilities, and the development of satellite towns. The recent flurry of activity underscores the administration's efforts to finalize ongoing projects.

Wike's vacation comes as the FCT Administration continues its work on various projects expected to be commissioned in the coming months. The minister, a former governor of Rivers State, has been a key figure in driving the current administration's infrastructure agenda in the capital territory.
