NDC faction commissions new secretariat in Anambra, passes vote of confidence on leadership

A faction of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) in Anambra State has officially opened its newly acquired state secretariat in Awka. This development is seen by the factional leadership as a significant step towards consolidating the party's structure and fostering unity within the state chapter.

This is a major step towards consolidating our political structure and fostering party unity in the Anambra State chapter of NDC. It is also to bring together party leaders, stakeholders and grassroots supporters to establish a central hub for party operations across the state.

Mr. Chukwudifu Patrick David, the factional State Chairman, addressed party members during the commissioning ceremony. He assured them that their contributions to the party's growth would be recognized and valued. David highlighted the secretariat's purpose as a central hub designed to bring together leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots supporters for party operations across the state. He urged members to remain sincere and faithful, reminding them that past challenges were for the future benefit of the party.

I urge every party member to be sincere and faithful to our great party, regardless of the wave we have experienced. I want to remind you that everything that happened is for the benefit of the future of our great party.

David positioned himself as a loyal servant, promising a listening ear to complaints and solutions to issues raised. He stressed the importance of internal cohesion and sincerity of purpose for achieving electoral success, stating, "We can only succeed as one united family if we stand fit, firm and stand by the truth and always do the right thing in our party."

I am not here only to be the chairman, but your loyal and confident servant. Let us move our great party, NDC, as one family. I assure you that my leadership will give a listening ear to any complaint and provide answers and solutions to issues raised.

The commissioning was met with commendation from NDC chairmen representing the state's 21 Local Government Areas. Chief Emmanuel Ifefiora, NDC Chairman for Oyi LGA, praised David's leadership style, expressing confidence in the party's strengthened grassroots presence and electoral prospects. Mr. Nestor Alike, NDC Chairman for Anaocha LGA, moved a vote of confidence in David's leadership, citing the establishment of the secretariat and expanded grassroots mobilization as key achievements. The motion was seconded by Mr. Paul Okolo of Anambra East LGA, who reaffirmed party unity under David's leadership and refuted any claims of internal division.
