Photographer Detained Amidst Allegations Against Agency Founder

Photographer Mesut Adlin, who recently accused Hypers agency founder Tolga Akış and his wife Gizem Kaya of wrongdoing, has been detained by authorities. Adlin's allegations, detailed in a 15-minute YouTube video, had previously caused a significant stir on social media, directly targeting Manifest and Akış.

We filed a criminal complaint with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on August 20th, and immediately after the broadcast at midnight on August 21st, due to actions of threat and blackmail.

Following the video's release, Akış's lawyer, Kaya Pulat, announced that a criminal complaint was filed with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The complaint cited threats and blackmail, particularly after Adlin's broadcast on August 21st. Law enforcement conducted a search of Adlin's residence and seized items before taking him to a police station for questioning.

As a result of our application, search and seizure operations were carried out at the person's residence by law enforcement, and the person was taken to the law enforcement unit to be questioned.

Pulat emphasized that any unlawful actions targeting his client's personal rights, private life, and reputation would not go unanswered legally. "We want to emphasize that no unlawful act targeting my client's personal rights, private life, and reputation will go unanswered legally," Pulat stated. "We will all see the consequences of engaging in unlawful acts for the sake of creating a public spectacle in the coming period."
