Fundación Cimientos, an organization dedicated to improving educational opportunities for young Argentines, recently hosted its annual fundraising gala at the prestigious La Rural event center in Buenos Aires. The event, known as "Noche Cimientos 2026," successfully convened over 300 prominent figures from the worlds of business, politics, and education.

Attendees included high-ranking government officials such as Sandra Pettovello, the national Minister of Human Capital, and Pablo Quirno, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade, and Worship. Also present were Carlos Horacio Torrendell, Secretary of Education for the City of Buenos Aires, and Gabriel Sánchez Zinny, Chief of Staff for the City of Buenos Aires. The gathering underscored the widespread support for the foundation's mission across various sectors.

The foundation highlighted its critical work, noting that "in Argentina, 4 out of 10 young people do not finish secondary school; in vulnerable sectors, 7 out of 10." Since its establishment in 1997, Fundación Cimientos has implemented programs designed to foster school retention, facilitate graduation, encourage continuation into higher education, and support labor market insertion. The funds raised at the gala are crucial for sustaining and expanding these vital initiatives.

The evening featured a cocktail reception and a banquet, which included an auction of items related to the Argentine national football team. Notable attendees also included Alejandro Berardi, president of Fundación Cimientos, and Mercedes Méndez Ribas, its executive director. The event's success demonstrates a collective commitment to empowering youth through education and building a brighter future for Argentina.
