Phu Quoc's international airport, now managed by Sun Group, is experiencing remarkable growth, with passenger numbers soaring by 147% in the first quarter of 2026. From January 1, 2026, the airport will officially take over this airport from Vietnam Airports Corporation - ACV.

To further elevate the travel experience, the airport is embracing technology, including enhanced Wi-Fi, stronger 4G/5G signals, upgraded flight information displays, and biometric check-in. A particularly innovative step is the pilot program for in-hotel flight check-in, allowing passengers to complete procedures and drop luggage at their accommodations before heading directly to the airport. This service, initially available at select hotels for Sun PhuQuoc Airways passengers, promises a more seamless and convenient journey.
