Pikmin Bloom August Event Kicks Off; Players Note Absence of Blue Flowers, Anticipate Easier Month

The mobile game "Pikmin Bloom" has kicked off its August "Summer Vacation" event, introducing new decorative Pikmin and flower varieties to its gameplay. This month's event features the debut of Bali-carved decorative Pikmin and begonia giant flowers, alongside the return of popular shaved ice and ice cream Pikmin.

Players have observed that the August event's giant flowers include white, yellow, and red begonias, but notably lack the blue version. In "Pikmin Bloom," blue flowers are often the most challenging to collect, prompting many players to express relief and amusement. Comments suggest that the absence of this difficult-to-obtain flower type might make the current month's challenges more manageable, with some players anticipating a "more relaxed" experience.

The event offers various ways for players to obtain new items and rewards. By planting regular flower petals near giant flowers during the event period, players may encounter hibiscus, sunflowers, morning glories, birds of paradise, orchid cacti, or begonias. Destroying mushrooms will yield essences that can be used for further gameplay. Additionally, players can acquire "tropical coconuts" through event challenges, planting flowers, opening mystery boxes, or purchasing special bundles.

These tropical coconuts can be exchanged for limited-edition Mii costumes and other rewards. A special bonus for August includes a golden seedling of a chosen-color shaved ice decorative Pikmin for players who collect 15,000 tropical coconuts. Giant mushroom challenges are scheduled on specific weekends throughout August, offering further opportunities for engagement and rewards.
