Pingtung Park Transforms into 'Jurassic Park' with Dinosaur Egg Lanterns

Pingtung City's Millennium Park is preparing for its annual Mid-Autumn Festival celebration by transforming into a "Jurassic Park"-themed wonderland. Starting August 29, the park will illuminate with a captivating display of lights and imaginative installations designed to delight visitors.

The centerpiece of the festival is a towering 7-meter-tall dinosaur egg main lantern. The event is divided into three distinct zones: "Cute Egg Awakening," "Dinosaur Paradise," and "Cute Village." These areas will feature various dinosaur-themed light sculptures, including luminous long-necked dinosaurs and charming dinosaur settlements, set amidst a backdrop of forest light corridors and starry light seas.

Organizers have planned interactive photo opportunities to enhance the immersive experience, inviting families and friends to step into a fantastical Jurassic world. The festival aims to provide a memorable and enchanting experience for both children and adults, fostering a sense of wonder and shared joy.

In addition to the main attractions, the Pingtung City government announced a special giveaway of adorable baby dinosaur egg lanterns to attendees. The festival will run from August 29 through October 11, encompassing the end of summer vacation and extending through the Double Tenth National Day holiday. The event seeks to leverage festive lighting to transform public spaces into venues for emotional connection and shared community experiences.
