Pingtung Summer Carnival Thrills Families with YOYO Family and POLI

Pingtung County's Summer Carnival is drawing crowds with its family-friendly attractions and performances. The event, which runs until August 30, has seen many families return for its diverse offerings, from amusement rides to nightly shows.

Recent highlights included energetic performances by the YOYO Family and the Rescue Heroes POLI, which captivated a large audience of children and parents. The county government distributed limited-edition light-up magic wands, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The carnival's "Summer Theater" is a key feature, incorporating circus acts, drama, and music to provide an immersive artistic experience for children. The series concludes on August 15 with a performance by the Dou Zi Theater Company.

Special Father's Day activities are also underway. On August 8, families can participate in a photo contest for a chance to win ride tickets. Additionally, 1,000 free popsicles will be distributed on August 8 and 9, while supplies last. Visitors with tickets to the Crayon Shin-chan exhibition can enter a raffle for a chance to win exclusive Pingtung merchandise.

The Pingtung County Hall of Culture and International Affairs emphasized the event's commitment to being a "parent-friendly" celebration, aiming to create the most attractive summer event for families in southern Taiwan. The amusement rides operate daily from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. (until 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays), and the themed exhibitions continue until October 11.
