Piraeus: Neighbor's testimony shocks after tragedy of 2 dead in garage

A tragic incident has shocked Piraeus after two young individuals, a 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, were discovered deceased inside a car parked in a residential building's garage. The local community is reeling from the loss of the young couple.

One neighbor recounted hearing the desperate cries of the woman's mother upon the discovery. "I understood something was wrong from the shouts. The girl's mother was shouting. She was saying, 'I've lost my girl,' what else could that woman say. A great tragedy."

The 28-year-old's father found the couple inside the vehicle, which had its engine running. The garage was reportedly closed, leading authorities to investigate the possibility that exhaust fumes entered the car's cabin through the air conditioning system. This could have led to a rapid accumulation of carbon monoxide, causing the victims to lose consciousness.
