Pitbull Attack on Child Sparks Fear in Bandung Housing Complex

Residents of the Grand Cendana Residence in Bandung have strongly refuted any narrative suggesting that children provoked a pitbull attack that left a child with severe injuries. In a written statement, the local community leadership clarified that neither the victim nor other children in the complex engaged in any provocative actions toward the dog before the incident.

According to observations from CCTV footage and gathered testimonies, the pitbull was loose and pursued children who were about to play. The dog then suddenly and ferociously attacked the victim, causing deep lacerations to the head and ears. Several residents intervened to rescue the child.

The statement also addressed the dog's owner, noting that the individual no longer resides within the Grand Cendana Residence complex. Furthermore, the victim's family has confirmed they have no familial relationship with the dog's owner, countering any claims of kinship.

The attack has not only inflicted physical harm but has also instilled significant fear, anxiety, and psychological trauma among residents, both adults and children. The community has pledged full moral support to the victim and their family. Residents are open to legal action if criminal elements are found and are considering a petition to restrict access to certain roads used by the dog.
