Pitt and Jolie's divorce feud continues with financial fight over winery

The decade-long divorce proceedings between Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have escalated into a financial battle over their French winery, Château Miraval. Brad Pitt is accusing Angelina Jolie of withholding crucial financial information and selling her stake in the vineyard without his agreement, according to recent court documents obtained by international media.

Jolie's representatives state she sold her share to achieve financial independence from Pitt and separate their finances. They argue that she significantly paused her career after their 2016 separation, foregoing years of compensation. Pitt's legal team is demanding Jolie provide income and tax statements from 2017 to 2021, asserting she has refused to share documents for the years 2017 to 2019.

"Jolie has never claimed she was in financial difficulty – her claims are clear about trying to separate her financial life from her ex-spouse," Pitt's lawyers stated, as reported by USA Today. The couple jointly owned the winery, the site of their 2014 wedding, from 2008 until 2021.

Jolie and Pitt, once dubbed "Brangelina," were together for 11 years before their split in 2016. Jolie cited concerns for the family's well-being following an alleged altercation on a private jet, during which Pitt was accused of violent behavior towards her in front of their six children. The FBI investigated the incident, but no charges were filed against Pitt. All six of their children have either legally or publicly dropped the Pitt surname.
