Pixie and Polina Survived Under a Mattress and Now Seek a Home Together

Pixie and Polina began life beneath an improvised roof, lying on a piece of mattress while their mother tried to protect the litter in difficult conditions in Lomas de Zamora.

Patitas al Rescate rescued the puppies with their mother and siblings. As the other puppies found families, Pixie and Polina stayed at the shelter a little longer because they were the smallest of the litter. The extra time allowed them to grow stronger and complete their development.

Now almost three months old, both puppies are ready for permanent homes. The shelter describes Polina as sweet, calm and affectionate. She enjoys company and likes sharing everyday moments with people, especially being held while she sleeps. She may need time to feel comfortable with someone new, but becomes loving and cuddly once she trusts them.

Pixie is smaller but full of personality. She is curious, playful and mischievous, and the shelter says she loves exploring and discovering new things. Patitas al Rescate would be happy to see the sisters adopted together, although adopters may also apply for them separately.
