PKR President Anwar Ibrahim denies inviting former deputy Azmin Ali to rejoin party

PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has officially denied any invitation was sent to former PKR Deputy President Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali to rejoin the party. Anwar stated he had no knowledge of any such offer being made to Mohamed Azmin to return to PKR's fold. When questioned by reporters, Anwar responded, "Was anyone invited? Was there an offer? I was not informed." This statement comes after Anwar's call at the PKR Congress for former leaders and activists to return to the party's struggle. Azmin Ali, who is now the Secretary-General of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), had previously stated he would not rejoin his former party, even if there were 'invitations' for former members to do so. He expressed confidence in his current party as a platform for his political future. Anwar's call at the congress in Melaka was aimed at rallying former members, and media reports indicated that former Members of Parliament Datuk Kamarudin Jaffar and Datuk Mansor Othman, along with former PKR Vice President Datuk Dr. Xavier Jayakumar, were expected to rejoin the party. Azmin's firm rejection of any potential return suggests a definitive break from his past affiliation with PKR.
