PLG: Yulon Luxgen signs former Japan-based big man Morris Udeze

Yulon Luxgen has added American center Morris Udeze, a 203-centimeter interior player with experience in several professional leagues. The club said his physical strength, rebounding and inside scoring would reinforce its frontcourt.

Udeze, 26, played in Poland, Japan and Spain after beginning his professional career. In Japan’s B2 League during the 2024-25 season, he played for Kobe and Fukushima. After moving to Fukushima, he appeared in 15 games and averaged 17.3 points and 8.7 rebounds while shooting 62.7% from the field.

He joined Spain’s top-level ACB League in the 2025-26 season and also represented Nigeria in the African qualifiers for the 2027 FIBA World Cup. He averaged 18.7 points and 8.3 rebounds in the qualifiers, including a 30-point, 10-rebound performance against Rwanda.

Yulon Luxgen said Udeze’s mobility would allow him to contribute through rebounding, screens and defense as well as inside scoring. The club hopes he can quickly fit into its system and become an important part of the team’s interior rotation.
