PLN, Kodim Gunungkidul Collaborate on Electricity for Village Cooperative

PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi (UID) Yogyakarta is partnering with Kodim 0730/Gunungkidul to guarantee a stable electricity supply for the upcoming Merah Putih Village Cooperative (KDKMP). The cooperative's inauguration is planned for August 2026, aligning with the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

The collaboration was solidified during a meeting at Kodim Gunungkidul headquarters, attended by PLN UP3 Yogyakarta and Wonosari Manager Agung Pratomo and Dandim 0730/Gunungkidul Letkol Inf. Alfian Yudha Praniawan. The discussion focused on aligning location data for the KDKMP and preparing the necessary electricity connections for each site. Kodim provided on-the-ground updates, including target locations and required preparations, which PLN will use for verification and service readiness.

Agung Pratomo stated that PLN is committed to continuous coordination with Kodim Gunungkidul to meet the cooperative's electricity demands based on field conditions. "We are synchronizing location data for the Merah Putih Village Cooperative and ensuring the readiness of the network and electricity connection process. We want to ensure all inauguration sites are electrically ready for a smooth and timely power activation," he said. Early coordination allows PLN to map power needs and conditions, enabling prompt follow-up on any necessary preparations.

Letkol Inf. Alfian Yudha Praniawan highlighted the existing synergy between Kodim and PLN in various projects, including electricity provision for military environments. "We are currently collaborating on the Merah Putih Village Cooperative initiative. PLN's assistance with electricity installation is a strategic collaboration supporting a National Strategic Program," Alfian noted. He expressed gratitude for PLN's direct coordination to ensure electrical readiness at the KDKMP locations, anticipating closer future cooperation.
