PNM Mekaar Program Boosts Customer Income by Rp875,000 Monthly

Indonesia's PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) Mekaar program is showing a significant impact on the welfare of ultra-micro entrepreneurs, according to an independent study. The program, which combines financing with business guidance, has led to an average monthly increase of Rp875,000 in net income for its participants.

The INDEKSTAT 2025 study revealed that the average monthly net income for PNM Mekaar customers rose from Rp2.02 million to Rp2.90 million. This financial improvement is coupled with a nearly 29% increase in their business development capabilities, highlighting the program's success in strengthening the capacity of ultra-micro businesses.

PNM's President Director, Kindaris, emphasized that the program's success is measured not just by the amount of financing disbursed, but by the tangible changes experienced by the customers and their families. PNM integrates business assistance and character building to foster sustainable enterprises. "Every financing provided must result in an improved quality of life for our customers and their families," Kindaris stated, positioning PNM as a partner in empowerment.

Currently, PNM Mekaar serves 23.3 million customers across 36 provinces, predominantly women from underprivileged backgrounds who may have lacked access to formal financial services. The program's extensive network includes 58 branches, over 4,000 Mekaar service units, and more than 43,000 Account Officers providing direct support. PNM aims to expand its reach, enabling more women entrepreneurs to scale their businesses and bolster family and community economies.
