PNM Provides Vocational Training for People with Disabilities in Brebes

PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) is actively working to empower individuals with disabilities in Brebes, Indonesia, through a new vocational training program. The initiative, a collaboration between PNM Cabang Tegal and Mandiri Taspen, focuses on equipping participants with practical skills for greater economic independence.

Thirty participants from the disability community in Brebes and surrounding areas are undergoing a five-day intensive training in sewing, with a specialization in shoe manufacturing. This program is designed to provide them with industry-relevant skills, addressing the challenges many disabled individuals face in securing decent employment and achieving self-reliance.

The training is facilitated by Ruang Amal Indonesia and is tailored to meet the specific needs of the footwear industry. Upon completion, participants will have the opportunity to be placed in shoe manufacturing companies operating in the Brebes region. This focus on job placement aims to ensure the training translates into tangible economic benefits for the attendees.

This vocational program aligns with PNM's core mission of empowering marginalized communities. By providing accessible training and fostering connections with industry, PNM seeks to create more equitable opportunities and enable individuals with disabilities to contribute meaningfully to society and the economy.
