PNPYO backs Opposition’s call for immediate resignation of FLA CEO

The People's National Party Youth Organisation (PNPYO) has publicly backed the Opposition's call for the immediate resignation of the Factories Corporation of Jamaica (FLC) CEO. The youth arm of the PNP expressed strong disapproval of the FLC's management, particularly in light of a recent fire at the National Housing Trust (NHT) building.

In a statement, the PNPYO highlighted what it described as a "woeful lack of oversight" by the FLC, which is responsible for managing the industrial park where the NHT building is located. The organization stated that the fire, which caused significant damage, exposed serious deficiencies in safety protocols and emergency preparedness under the current leadership.

The PNPYO's stance underscores a growing political pressure on the government regarding the FLC's operations. The youth organization is demanding greater accountability and transparency from public sector entities, asserting that the public deserves competent and responsible management of state-owned corporations.
