Poet Mocks Son of Former Mexican President Over U.S. Visa Cancellation

Investigator and columnist Guillermo Sheridan has penned a poetic critique of the U.S. visa cancellation for Andrés Manuel López Beltrán, the son of Mexico's former president. Published on social media, Sheridan's "DÉCIMA" uses verse to address the recent events surrounding López Beltrán, whom he characterizes as throwing a "tantrum disguised as a conspiracy."

In his poetic form, Sheridan writes: "With the prose of a dandy (truthfully quite lame) he fashioned a big tantrum, a junior named Andy. Watch the modus operandi: disguise the tantrum as a secret conspiracy to revoke his visa, that's how he announces that the Prophet reincarnates in him…"

López Beltrán himself announced the visa cancellation on August 13, stating he received a letter from U.S. authorities. He suggested the action was politically motivated and questioned then-President Donald Trump's awareness of the decision. López Beltrán specifically named Marco Rubio, Secretary of the State Department, and Christopher Landau, Undersecretary, as the officials who ordered the revocation of his permit to enter the United States.
