Sheinbaum announces tour of 10 Mexican states to report on two years in office

Claudia Sheinbaum will spend the coming four days traveling across 10 Mexican states to present what her administration calls “Honesty and results” reports on its first two years in office.

The tour begins Thursday, Sept. 3, with Sheinbaum’s morning press conference at the National Palace and an event marking the 50th anniversary of the Heroic Military College’s Tlalpan campus. She will then travel to Cuernavaca for a report on Morelos before presenting another report in Durango.

On Friday, she will hold the morning conference in Guadalupe, Zacatecas, followed by a results report in that state. Her schedule then takes her to San Luis Potosí and Aguascalientes. Saturday’s events include reports in Colima, Tlajomulco de Zúñiga in Jalisco, and Tepic, Nayarit.

The tour concludes Sunday with reports in Nuevo León and Coahuila, including an event in Saltillo. Sheinbaum said the aim was to report in each state, as her administration did a year earlier, while explaining the works under way and their progress.

“This is the tour for this weekend. The objective, as we did a year ago, is to give the report in each state. And now we are going to explain each project we are carrying out and the progress it has made, including water projects, highways, trains, and some other actions we are taking in each state,” Sheinbaum said.
