Poland Advances Bill to Collect Doctors' Salary Data Linked to PESEL Numbers

A new Polish law that will enable the collection of doctors' salary data, linked to their PESEL identification numbers, has advanced through its first reading in the parliamentary health committee. The government approved the draft legislation on Tuesday, setting the stage for its further consideration.

The PESEL number is a unique 11-digit personal identification number assigned to all Polish residents. Linking salary data to this number would allow for precise tracking and analysis of individual earnings within the medical profession.
