Poland Ready to Produce Patriot Missiles With Ukraine

Poland is prepared to collaborate with Ukraine on producing PAC-3 missiles for the Patriot air defense system within Polish territory, according to Deputy Minister of National Defence Pawel Zalewskis. He stated that Poland is among the nations willing and able to manufacture the PAC-3 variant, viewing its production in Europe as a significant step toward bolstering continental security.

Zalewskis suggested that European production of PAC-3 missiles would also benefit the United States, as current manufacturing capabilities are insufficient to meet demand. He emphasized a collaborative approach, stating, "We do not want to compete with Ukrainians, Germans, or anyone else. Therefore, it would be good to create some form of cooperation between companies and states."

The proposed production would serve not only NATO allies but also provide crucial support to Ukraine. Zalewskis asserted that Poland possesses the necessary capabilities and expertise to contribute to such manufacturing. "If it turns out that it will be done together with the Ukrainians, Germans, or both Ukrainians and Germans – that's good. We don't want to compete, we want to strengthen our security," he added.

Poland is actively engaged in discussions with the U.S. administration and Lockheed Martin, the manufacturer of the Patriot systems, regarding this initiative. Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials have noted that while the supply of Patriot missiles to Ukraine continues, the quantities received are insufficient. Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's presidential office, previously stated that Ukraine received fewer missiles in 2026 than in the previous year, underscoring the critical importance of these missiles for intercepting ballistic threats.
