Polda Metro Jaya responds to intervention claims in Roy-Tifa case

Jakarta Police have responded to allegations of intervention in the investigation of a case involving alleged fake diplomas, with suspects Roy Suryo and Tifauziah Tyassuma, also known as Dr. Tifa. The Jakarta Metropolitan Police Director of General Criminal Investigation, Kombes Iman Imanuddin, stated that any attempts to obstruct or disrupt the investigation are being handled wisely and according to procedure.

He urged all parties to use legal instruments as stipulated by law, rather than resorting to social media narratives or provocative hoaxes. Imanuddin emphasized that if any party feels the process is incorrect, legal mechanisms like pre-trial hearings are available. He also pointed to internal supervisory bodies within the police for those who suspect irregularities in the investigation.

Furthermore, Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, addressed claims of injustice in the case. He stated that both suspects' rights have been fulfilled, including receiving medical treatment at the Police Hospital in Kramat Jati and being given the opportunity to take an exam. He refuted accusations of "kezaliman" (tyranny or injustice), urging critics to review the steps taken by the police.
