Police Arrest 1 Person after Seattle Festival Shooting that Killed 3

Seattle police have apprehended one individual and are actively seeking a second suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday at the Bite of Seattle food festival. The incident resulted in the deaths of three people and left four others injured.

Assistant Chief Tyrone Davis stated that detectives have not yet obtained a description of the outstanding suspect. Authorities believe the two individuals involved in the shooting were targeting each other, and they assess that there is no continuing threat to the public. The gunfire erupted around 6 p.m. during the final hours of the annual festival, which typically attracts thousands of attendees, food vendors, and performers.

Governor Bob Ferguson of Washington confirmed he was receiving updates on the situation, and State Patrol SWAT officers were deployed to support local law enforcement. "My prayers are with the families of the victims, and the responders as they work to keep people safe," Ferguson said in a statement. The injured individuals are reported to be in stable condition at a local hospital.
