Police arrest robbery suspect, recover stolen car in Gombe

Gombe State Police Command has reported a series of successful operations, leading to the arrest of a suspected armed robber, two alleged housebreakers, and the recovery of a stolen vehicle. The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, detailed the recent activities to journalists.

The State Criminal Investigation Department is investigating the case, while efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing accomplice identified as Mubarak.

In one incident, Micah Nuhu was arrested for allegedly attacking a woman, identified as Mama Kingsley Joseph, with a pestle and stealing her purse. The purse was recovered by the police, and the victim received medical attention. Authorities are also seeking a fleeing accomplice named Mubarak.

The suspects are in custody and investigation is ongoing to determine their involvement in other criminal activities.

Separately, police arrested Nasiru Aminu, 40, and Jamiu Muhammad, 33, in the Tumfure area. They were allegedly found with 39 master keys and a screwdriver, suspected tools for housebreaking. Investigations are ongoing to determine their involvement in other crimes.

The victim was evacuated to the Specialist Hospital for treatment, while the abandoned vehicle was recovered near the Army Barracks and secured at the police station.

Additionally, a Toyota Yaris was recovered after its owner, Sani Ahmed, was reportedly stabbed and pushed from the vehicle by assailants. The vehicle was found abandoned and secured by the police. The command assures residents of its commitment to combating crime and urges the public to continue providing information.
