Police arrest three armed suspects in Ogun raids

On 14th April 2026, at about 1630hrs, operatives of Mowe Division acted on credible intelligence received from a member of the public regarding a suspicious individual loitering around Mowe Bus Stop.

The intelligence-led operations and stop-and-search duties yielded significant seizures, including locally made firearms, ammunition, and charms. The arrest of Opeyemi Anuoluwapo, who confessed to being a member of the Eiye Confraternity, highlights the deep-rooted issues of secret societies that continue to plague our communities. The subsequent interceptions of motorcycles carrying firearms further emphasize the need for continuous vigilance and proactive policing.

Operatives of the Quick Response Squad, while on stop-and-search duty at Lafarge along Sagamu/Ogijo Road, intercepted a Bajaj motorcycle ridden by Asaye Ajibola, 30.
