On 22nd of May 2026 at about 1000hrs Police patrol team attached to Ikirun area command while on daily routine stop and search/patrol, one Adeyinka Adekola โmโ 27yrs of age was intercepted on an unregistered motorcycle, search was conducted on him, during search, two English bereta pistols, one axe and charms were recovered from him.
The suspects have been identified as Adekola Olayinka Abdulazeez, 27; Omolara Ezekiel, 28; and Babatunde Azeez, 32. During the initial search of Adekola Olayinka, police recovered two English Beretta pistols, one axe, and charms. The case was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), where Adekola confessed to being a member of the Eiye confraternity and admitted he was on his way to deliver arms and ammunition to Omolara Ezekiel.
