Police arrest two suspected robbers in Nigeria's Adamawa State

Authorities in Nigeria's Adamawa State have apprehended two individuals suspected of belonging to the Shilla Boys gang, who are accused of armed robbery. The Adamawa State Police Command announced the arrests, stating the incident occurred on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

The incident occurred on 27th August, 2026, at about 2300hrs, when the suspects allegedly attacked the complainant with dangerous weapons and robbed him of three mobile handsets around Chinko, Jimeta.

According to a statement by the command's spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the suspects allegedly attacked the complainant using dangerous weapons. They reportedly stole three mobile handsets near Chinko, Jimeta. The arrests followed a swift response from residents at the scene and intelligence-driven actions by operatives from the Jimeta Divisional Police Headquarters.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Bubakar Sadik Muhammed, also known as Haske, from Chochi Rumde, and Hamma Jibrilla, known as Dzeco, from Kasan Shinko. During the operation, police recovered two of the three stolen mobile handsets and a knife, which is believed to be one of the weapons used in the alleged robbery.
