Police clear fans from England team's hotel in Mexico

Police cleared dozens of fans from the vicinity of the hotel housing the England national football team on Saturday. The team is preparing to face Mexico in the World Cup Round of 16 on Sunday.

Security has been significantly heightened around the hotel since Friday. National Guard, Navy, and Police personnel have erected barriers to prevent fans from accessing the team's accommodation. This measure follows an incident earlier in the week where thousands of fans disturbed the Ecuador team's rest by shouting and setting off fireworks outside their hotel.

I had a few seconds and thirds in Diamond Leagues, so it's great to win, especially in the Bowerman Mile.

While a social media call to bother the English team did not gain traction due to the security measures, some England supporters remained outside the hotel on Saturday hoping for autographs. However, authorities dispersed them, asking them to leave the premises.

I just ran hard. I think that gave me the best probability to win, so it turned out great.

In a press conference, coach Thomas Tuchel expressed gratitude for the warm reception Mexico has given his team, acknowledging that a few instances showed rejection. The upcoming match between Mexico and England is highly anticipated, with England ranked fourth globally, while Mexico has a strong tournament record, winning all four matches with eight goals scored and none conceded.
