Police Day Blood Drive Held in Pingzhen; 10,000 cc Target Set

The Pingzhen Police Precinct in Taoyuan City held a blood donation event on June 5, ahead of the upcoming Police Day on June 15. The initiative, organized in conjunction with the Pingzhen Police Friends Association and the Guanyin Genman Charity Foundation, aimed to collect 10,000 cc of blood.

Despite persistent rain throughout the day, the event saw enthusiastic participation from nearly 200 individuals, including police officers, their friends, and members of the public. This collective effort demonstrated a strong sense of community spirit and a desire to contribute to society beyond their regular duties.

Beyond the blood drive, the precinct integrated crime prevention awareness into the event. Officers provided detailed explanations on combating drug-impaired driving and warned attendees about prevalent scams, such as fake dating, impersonation of police officers, and fraudulent investment schemes. The goal was to educate the public on protective measures against these threats while fostering goodwill through the charitable act of blood donation.
