Police Discover Weapons After Warehouse Fire in Luque

Firefighters battled a significant blaze at a warehouse located in the Villa Policial of Luque, Paraguay, on July 18, 2026. The fire, which began around noon and lasted past 2 p.m., consumed barrels, various fuels, and vehicles stored within the facility. While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, authorities confirmed that no individuals were injured. However, a neighboring residence sustained structural damage. Following the fire's suppression, police conducted an inspection and discovered several weapons of questionable origin, along with camouflaged uniforms. The deputy chief of the 52nd Police Station in Luque stated that forensic teams are working to determine if the weapons are functional firearms or airsoft replicas.
