Police Investigate Golf Caddy's Alleged Assault by Player in Tangerang

Authorities are investigating a reported physical assault involving a male golfer and a golf caddy at the Modernland Golf Course in Tangerang, Indonesia. The incident is currently under scrutiny by the Tangerang Kota Metropolitan Police.

According to initial police accounts, the alleged assault took place on the evening of Tuesday, June 23, 2026. "Based on the initial information obtained by investigators, the incident was allegedly triggered by a personal issue between the victim and the suspect who had a special relationship," stated the acting Head of Public Relations for the Tangerang Kota Metro Police, Iwan.

Investigators have gathered preliminary reports indicating that the victim suffered physical violence resulting in several injuries to the head and face. "The victim sustained several injuries, including a laceration on the head and bruises on the forehead, cheek, and lips due to the alleged act of violence," Iwan added. The police are actively examining all reports and evidence.

Based on the initial information obtained by investigators, the incident was allegedly triggered by a personal issue between the victim and the suspect who had a special relationship.

Following the alleged assault, the victim underwent medical examination and a visum et repertum (forensic medical report) to support the ongoing investigation. Investigators have also seized evidence related to the case and interviewed the victim along with several witnesses present at the scene. CCTV footage capturing the sequence of events has been obtained as crucial evidence.

While both parties reportedly attempted to resolve the matter amicably through deliberation, the Tangerang Kota Metro Police confirmed that the investigation and legal proceedings will continue in accordance with applicable laws.
