Police Investigate High School Student's Death After Being Hit by Train in Jurangmangu

Police in Tangerang Selatan, Indonesia, are investigating the death of a high school student, identified by the initials AP, who was struck by a commuter train at Jurangmangu Station on Monday. The incident occurred as a train from Tanah Abang entered the station. Security personnel witnessed the student fall onto the tracks from the platform.

Investigators have interviewed the victim's school friend, who stated they were returning from school together and went to Jurangmangu Station. The friend reported that they separated to wait for the train at different locations within the station. Initial findings at the scene indicate the victim sustained head injuries, but the precise cause of death remains under investigation.

The Ciputat Timur Police have secured the victim's belongings and are continuing their investigation to establish the sequence of events and the exact cause of the student's death. The victim's body was evacuated from the scene and taken to South Tangerang Regional General Hospital for further examination.
