Police Investigate Viral Drug Den After Woman's Confrontation

Police in North Sumatra have raided a location suspected of being a drug transaction hub following the virality of a video showing a woman confronting alleged dealers. The incident occurred in Kampung Baru, Aek Kanopan Timur, Labuhanbatu Utara.

Personnel from the Labuhanbatu Resort Police responded to the video, which circulated widely on social media. Upon arrival at the scene, however, officers reported finding no individuals involved in drug sales or activity. "Upon arrival at the location, no people or drug buying and selling activities were found," stated Adj. Comr. Hardiyanto, Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit for the Labuhanbatu Police.

Despite the absence of active drug dealing, police did discover drug paraphernalia, specifically a bong commonly used for consuming methamphetamine. Following this discovery, the police dismantled a structure resembling a roadside stall at the location. Hardiyanto emphasized the police's commitment to monitoring the area and encouraged the community to report any knowledge of drug trafficking activities.

The viral video depicted a middle-aged woman confronting men at the site, expressing her distress over suspected drug transactions in the neighborhood. She identified the location as a "meth dealer's house" in her appeal for the individuals to disperse.
