Police officer found dead at his Amasra home

A police officer serving at the Amasra District Police Department's social facilities was found dead in his residence on Tuesday morning. Recep Kiren, 58, failed to arrive for his shift, prompting concern among his colleagues.

Worried about his absence and inability to contact him, his colleagues went to his home on Kum Mahallesi Dereyanı Sokak. They found the door unlocked and entered the premises. Inside, they discovered the technician assistant motionless in one of the rooms.

Emergency health services and police were immediately dispatched to the scene. Medical personnel and a doctor who arrived confirmed Kiren's death. Reports indicate that Kiren had been experiencing significant health problems and was undergoing medical treatment. Colleagues who rushed to his home were visibly distressed by the news. Following an examination by the public prosecutor and forensic teams, Kiren's body was transferred to the Amasra Municipality morgue.
