Police Officer Raids Policewoman Wife Suspected of Infidelity, Maluku Regional Police Comment

A police officer in Ambon, Maluku, Indonesia, identified as Brigpol RL, reportedly raided a rented room with fellow officers from the Polda Maluku's internal affairs division. He suspected his wife, a policewoman with the rank of Brigadier, identified as IT, of infidelity.

The raid occurred early Saturday morning in a rented room in the Tanah Tinggi area. Brigpol RL and the internal affairs team went to the fourth floor of the building, specifically room 402, which was reportedly occupied by Brigpol IT.

Upon entering the room with the landlord present, the husband and the internal affairs officers did not find any other man. Brigpol IT was found alone in the room. The landlord informed Brigpol RL that his wife had been renting the room for two weeks.

Kombes Pol Rosita Umasugy, head of the Public Relations Division of Polda Maluku, confirmed the incident. She stated that the internal affairs division received a report from Brigpol RL around 00:29 WIT on Saturday, August 8, 2026, regarding his wife's alleged presence with another man in the rented room. Officers were dispatched to ensure the situation remained calm and to prevent any untoward incidents. Upon arrival, they found the policewoman's motorcycle and sandals outside the room but no other individual inside.
