West Java Police Chief Demands Eradication of Beggars and Motorcycle Thieves in Bandung

The Chief of the West Java Regional Police, Inspector General Pol Pipit Rismanto, has issued a strong directive to all units within the Bandung City Police, demanding a decisive crackdown on street thugs and motorcycle thieves. He emphasized the importance of not only apprehending criminals but also of serving and protecting the community.

During his visit to the Bandung Police Station, Rismanto aimed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current security landscape in Bandung. He stressed the ongoing commitment of the regional police to maintain and improve safety across West Java. "We must answer all the public's complaints to resolve, prevent, and tackle the prominent issues of today, such as street thugs and others," he stated at the Mapolrestabes Bandung.

Rismanto acknowledged that the Bandung City Police face distinct challenges in maintaining public order and security within the Bandung Raya area. The prevalence of motorcycle theft and street crime, along with other deviant behaviors, presents a significant hurdle. "I have seen the data, and indeed, motorcycle theft is high, and street crime is even higher. Naturally, with our presence alongside the main officials of the West Java Regional Police, we want to understand the human resources, the facilities, and the operations. We will check everything to ensure improvement in the future," he added.
