Police recover stolen vehicle, arrest three suspects in Kano

The Kano State Police Command has achieved a significant success in its fight against crime, apprehending three individuals suspected of belonging to an interstate car theft ring. This operation, which extended into Jigawa State, resulted in the recovery of a stolen Pontiac Vibe vehicle.

The swift action followed a report on April 17, 2026, concerning the theft of a blue Pontiac Vibe from a residence in Gwale Local Government Area. Operatives of the command’s Special Intervention Squad were immediately deployed and, through diligent intelligence gathering and tactical maneuvers, successfully located and recovered the vehicle.

All suspects are currently in police custody and have made useful statements. The case remains under investigation, and the suspects will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.

The arrested suspects, identified as Shuaibu Abdullahi, Shuaibu Zakariya, and Abdurahman Ibrahim, hail from Gombe and Bauchi states. They have reportedly provided useful statements and are currently in police custody. The investigation is ongoing, and they are expected to be charged in court once it concludes.
